學校紅牆仔邊
彼隻蹉跎馬仔ｅ懸度
我已經講未出來
干擔會記
偎晝ｅ下課時間
我坐值頂懸
目睭看著牆仔頭
一抱　白色ｅ草花

我看著牆仔外面
兩個查某人
頭巾包咧
值彼條新舖ｅ點仔膠路裡
耙粟仔

日光蒸起來
遐　一壟一壟ｅ
金黃色ｅ粟仔
親像流動ｅ熱湧　滾絞
阿彼兩個矮篤矮篤ｅ人影
嘛漸漸融值內底

其中一個
是我ｅ媽媽

槓鐘ｅ時
伊遠遠對我揚手
喊我入去教室

A Breaktime

I just can not tell
how tall the amusement horse was
19 years ago
near the red wall of the school.
I just remember
at some breaktime near afternoon
I rode it on
and saw the white herbaceous flowers
on the top of the wall.

I saw two women
in headscarves
outside the wall
and harrowed the rice grains
on the new-built asphalt road.

The sunlight steamed
and those ridges
of golden grains
fluctuated like spreading hot waves
gradually melting
the two short silhouettes away

one of which
was my mother’s

When the bell rang
she waved her hand to me at a distance
and urged me back to the classroom
for class
